The theremin was invented in 1928 by Leon Thermin. It is one of the earliest electronic instruments, and one of the few instruments played without physical contact. Click here to learn more about this project. It is still a work in progress, so more features will be added.
Instructions
1. Click the toggle above to enable your webcam.
2. Bring hand(s) into frame.
3. The hand nearest to the vertical antenna controls the pitch (closer = higher pitch). The hand nearest to the horizontal anetanna controls the volume (closer = lower volume). If you have one hand in the frame, only the pitch will be controlled.
